Meet Apagnawen Annankra, the man behind the lens

Hi, I'm Apagnawen and I am a cinematographer & colorist by profession. I cut my teeth in wedding photography and still hold fondly to it to this day - loving each wedding a little bit more than the last. Something about families coming together and sealing those memories forever in film or photo. From weddings I transitioned into the world of fashion photography & film - there was crossover in portraiture and the art of it all. Key relationships in the industry then let me down a path of feature film-making, documentaries and corporate advertisement along the way.

Film - of any creative form is my foremost passion, with photography not far behind! Telling the story really is the main thing for me, and helping people tell their stories is what it's all about.

If you want to know something non-cinema related - I box each week with my best mate, I really don't understand sweet food like sweet & sour chicken, I'm 6 foot 6 inches tall, and my wife is slightly worried about my Haribo Goldbears addiction.

I'm partially deaf in both ears and always have been, and most days I think this helps me understand people and their stories better, because I am not solely relying on words. On other days I might need things repeating louder so I can catch it & I do a lot of lip-reading.
